something i heard in relation to Jeff Koon's work; "...it is art, but what difference does it make?"
i do not necessarily agree with the critic's overall view of the artist, yet he makes a valid point. one that might need to be applied to much more than just art but art necessarily.

objectification of an individual's momentary quasi-real, partially formulated, cognitive grasping of imagery towards an ever changing, accidental, qualitative randomness.
